Cardboard Boat Races
Posted on October 29th, 2015
On Thursday, October 29th students in grade 8 participated in boat races at U of L. Students had to design and build their own boats out of cardboard. They get cardboard, duct tape, packing tape, 2 pencils, and a cutting tool, and bring their own tape measures and straight edges). They competed in a speed event (one person in the boat and racing across the pool) and a weight event (the boat had to hold three team members and stay afloat for 1 minute). We are proud of our students who participated.
